Occupational Summary:
The Compliance Specialist is responsible for the administrative support of all continuing education completions and follow-up within the organization. This will include: the oversight of onsite, online, seminars, and conference applications.
The Compliance Specialist should be professional and courteous in their communication, detail-oriented, computer literate, and able to forecast what will be needed for each event; essentially a good planner. The Compliance Specialist must be highly organized in order to ensure that all course offerings and credit postings are completed, follow-up takes place as needed, and credit is properly posted with applicable regulatory boards. It is imperative that this person be strong in telephone and e-mail communication, in order to maintain communication with regulatory boards and internal team members.
Work Performed:
The compliance specialist will perform [at a minimum] the following tasks:
- Responsible for state required course offerings based upon a scheduled list of future events.
- Responsible for posting continuing education (CE) credit for attendees to the applicable regulatory boards for all education events/courses within the organization, including but not limited to, the oversight of on-site, self-study, online, seminars, and conferences.
- Understanding and maintain knowledge of the various licensing board rules and regulations.
- Assist in creating materials for large venues [Registration page support, Certificates of Completion, and credit processing guidelines.)
- Responsible for ensuring all credit posting fees are included in the course record for billing purposes.
- Project and task management for time sensitive requirements.
- Responsible for closing the course record once roster and billing has been completed.
- Must be proficient on the computer and web navigation. Special emphasis on Microsoft Office Suite of products (Word, Excel, Access, Outlook)
- Responsible for tracking and managing multiple incoming event rosters with necessary reminders and follow-ups (project management).
- Required to maintain multiple databases (database management)
- Will need to be focused on excellent customer service and have the ability to remain calm in a fast-paced atmosphere.
- Must have excellent communication in phone, written, and email communication.
- Will periodically provide front-line telephone support.
- Responsible for managing the records archives.

EXPERIENCE
Work requires a minimum of three years experience within a similar compliance position. Insurance, education, or healthcare industry preferred.
